I’m not sure the exact age I was when I accepted Christ as my Savior but in fifth grade, I learned a lot of Bible verses and went to the state finals. I came in third and was really disappointed because I knew there was one verse I couldn’t get, and that was the verse they asked me to recite when it came my time to recite. That verse was 2 Timothy 3:16. “All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:”
So even though I had learned all these Bible verses, I did not know what they meant. It was not until much much later that I discovered through the Holy Spirit what they meant and how to apply them to my life. I went through some very rough years before this happened, it seemed like I had wandered in the wilderness for 40 years.
One day in June 2013, I rededicated my life to the Lord, and decided I would live for Him for the rest of my life. It was a great day. I started going back to church because I really felt like that was what I should be doing, to worship God and be with other believers. I was baptized on September 20, 2015.
My son kept telling me I needed to go back, and my step Mother kept praying for me, so because the Holy Spirit was pursing me, I finally listened. My life changed so much for the better and good things were happening. It was about a year later that I was asked to take over the senior ladies/widows Sunday School class. I had been attending this class because I went with my step Mom and my husband didn’t come to church with me. I enjoy very much teaching this class and I can’t wait for more people to attend.
